Vampire names

Our letter of the week this week was v.We discovered that if we put v at the start of our names ,they sound like vampire names.So we wrote our vampire names and drew pictures to go with them!

Writing in sand

Today we practiced our writing in the sand at the beach.

Visiting the book fair

The Book Fair has arrived in our school this week.

We went to the halla today to visit the fair.

We browsed through lots of fun and interesting books.

We might even like to buy a few.

Our dragon "Messy"

We heard a lovely story about "The Lonely Dragon".
We drew our dragon, did some drama based on our story and made a Voki avatar about our dragon.
We will probably do some artwork based on our dragon story too.

Books we are reading

Look at the great books we read in class today.

We read Patrick's Perfect Pancake in honour of Pancake Tuesday yesterday

and we read Over in the Meadow and Monkey Puzzle because they fit in well with our theme of "Spring"

We even sang the words to Over in the Meadow as we read the 3 different versions that teacher has.

Anne Frank

We have been learning all about Anne Frank. We imagined what it would have been like for her and wrote our own diary entries.

Pancake poems
