Scribes at work

We got new magnetic boards recently and we each have a board to practise writing our letters and numbers on , each day. We love writing on the boards and teacher says that we are doing lovely work. Well done us!!!

Making CVC flower words

We are able to read lots of words that finish in _at and _ag.

Today we played a game where we had to fill in each petal with a letter that could make a real word with the two letters in the middle of the flower.

Xs and Os

We use lots of different games to practice our reading.  Here the children attempt to get three in a row. They identify a word and then write their x or o over it. Teacher was extremely impressed at how strategic some of the children were.

Aesop's fables

We are reading and watching lots of Aesop's Fables stories.

We love the messages of the fables.

Intensive literacy learning

We are really lucky.

We have 5 teachers teaching us every day for 30 minutes.

 We read story books with them, 

we write in our copies,

make words with magnetic letters

 and play word games.

This is a fun part of our day and we are improving at our reading at a great rate!
