Learning letters

Every week we will learn a new letter from the alphabet. We have a letter board and each week we display pictures with our letter sound. We airtrace our letter. Look it up on starfall, sing phonic songs from youtube and we make our letter from plastericine.

Pocket Rocket readers

 Teacher has a set of 18 different readers (10 of each).  They are just perfect for us to be able to read all together in class.  We love the pictures and the easy stories.

Teacher usually reads 3 stories in the same day with the class.  We were able to figure out that it will take us 6 days to read the whole set.  WE LOVE READING!

Nursery Rhymes

We are doing a new nursery rhyme every week.We act them out,read them and then play a game where we mime one and everyone has to guess which rhyme it is.

Three men in a tub was the funniest to act out!

Sorcerer's Apprentice

We read a great story called The Sorcerer's Apprentice recently and did some activities based on it.Here the children put the pictures in the right order and told the story in their own words.

The letter "k"

We play lots of new and interesting ganes that make learning our letters lots of fun. This is a letter hunt. We have to find one particular letter but leave any other letter where it is.

We listened to the story Jack and The Beanstalk. We told teacher we loved this story. Then we pretended to be Jack's mammy. Jack's mammy told the story from her point of view to her neighbour. Some children were excellent at pretending to be Jack's mammy.

Today we learned the word ghost. We made some super spooky ghosts.

King of the letters

The king of the letters help the people of the land to discover the magic letter. The people of the land bring four items that start with the magic letter to the king or queen he/she reveals the letter to the people.
We LOVE this game!!

Word puddles

We are having great fun learning our words. So far we have learned Molly, Jack, Lucy, Sam, monster and clown. In this game u have to call the word before u land on the Lilly pad, we have to be careful not to land in the water all around the words.
